Shawarma

I love Shawarma! My daughter and her boyfriend introduced me to this and I just love the food and flavors. You can choose chicken, pork or vegetarian dishes falafel and have them with rice, salad and potatoes or pita bread.

I had the chicken sandwich shawarma with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and their sauce.

It's so good! Yummy...I went to the one on Derry Rd and McLaughlin.

Becel Maple Mustard Salmon

Love this recipe from the Chatelaine Magazine. We had a BBQ on the weekend and made this, it's delicious! You need 4 of 1/4lb Salmon fillets, 1/4 cup Becel Buttery Taste melted, 1/4 cup of Pure maple syrup, 4 tsp of Dijon mustard and 1 tsp of Low sodium soy sauce. This can be cooked in the oven at 425 degrees or BBQ on cedar planks (or in foil). Mix all ingredients together then pour over the salmon in a baking dish. Bake or BBQ for 12 minutes or until salmon flakes. Serve hot with extra sauce spooned on top. Give it a try, it's so good! Enjoy...

Shoeless Joe's Restaurant

For casual dining why not try Shoeless Joe's for finger foods or starters as meals Calamari  Mucho Nachos  Dunkin mini round donuts with whipped cream, strawberry, caramel, vanilla and chocolate (sauces).  Or have the warm large cookies with ice cream.  Yummy!

Panera Bread

Love Panera Bread!  Fresh baked bread and pastries daily.  Great place to meet for coffee or a place for students to do their work but not a quiet place (free wifi). I usually have their soup in a bread bowl or salad with panini.  Now they serve breakfast!  My location is the Heartland Center Mavis/Britannia and they just opened a new location near Erinmills Town Center Eglinton/Erinmills Pkway    Just order and they bring your food at your table!  You're given a buzzer number to let them know where you're seated, that's good service!  Enjoy...
